Chelsea are reportedly interested in young midfielder Dario Essugo in the 2025 summer transfer window, despite the club currently lacking a midfield position.

The Ufabet Football reported that in the past 24 hours, the Blues have followed a strategy of attracting promising players from around the world, reaching an agreement to acquire 16-year-old striker Dustan Satpayev from Kairat Almaty, who will join the team in the summer of 2026.

The latest is the target of 19-year-old Sporting Lisbon เล่น UFABET ผ่านมือถือ สะดวกทุกที่ ทุกเวลา midfielder Essugo, who is currently on loan at Spanish La Liga side Las Palmas.

The Portuguese star’s performance in the Spanish top league has seen him play 14 matches and score 1 goal. He is comfortable wearing the number 6 shirt, but he can also run up and down like number 8, making him a suitable competitor for the position with Moises Caicedo.

The contract with ‘Leones’ runs until 2027, so discussing the transfer fee is not a problem. The player’s only demand is a guarantee of playing time.

If Enzo Maresca’s team can’t give it away, then I’ll just say no.

Stamford Bridge have seen a number of promising midfielders go out of favour, including Cesare Casadei, who has moved to Torino.

Or like Renato Veiga who moved to Juventus on loan , Cairney Chukwuemeka who fled to Dortmund until the end of the season, leaving Kiernan Dewsbury and Hall on the bench.
